Engage Ads
Ad campaigns connected to visits and sales
Build ad audiences from customers who agreed to advertising. Connect your campaigns to visits and sales, compare results with a held-back group and manage budgets from the same marketing platform.
How does Engage Ads decide who sees an ad?
Any Engage segment becomes a Meta Custom Audience that updates itself. Only guests who agreed to advertising use are included, and only hashed identifiers leave Engage. Guests who withdraw consent or are erased are removed from every ad audience straight away.

- Withdrawn or erased guests removed from every ad audience straight away
How does advertising consent work in the UK, EU and US?
Advertising consent is separate from email consent. UK and EU guests opt in, US guests can opt out, and California audiences use Meta's Limited Data Use. Engage Ads honours Global Privacy Control, and includes a public ad choices page and a "Do Not Sell or Share" link for the US.
- Advertising consent separate from email consent
- Opt-in in the UK and EU, opt-out in the US, Meta's Limited Data Use for California
- Global Privacy Control honored
- A public ad choices page and a US "Do Not Sell or Share" link
How does Engage Ads prove an ad brought guests in?
A fixed 10% of each campaign's audience is held back and never uploaded. Real visits, bookings, POS sales and offer redemptions go to Meta as in-store conversions, only for guests who agreed to measurement. Results show the extra visits and POS sales against the held-back group, with a range.
- A fixed 10% of each audience held back and never uploaded
- In-store conversions sent only for guests who agreed to measurement
- Meta's own figures shown separately
How is ad spend controlled?
You approve a full-cost preview covering media, fees, audience and dates. Spend comes from a prepaid wallet, with low-balance alerts and caps at both Meta and Engage. Your agent can prepare campaigns and work within approved budgets; it cannot authorize extra spend.
- Approval of a full-cost preview before anything spends
- A prepaid ad wallet with low-balance alerts
- Spend capped at Meta and by Engage
- Your agent works within approved budgets and cannot authorize extra spend
What do I need to set up to run Engage Ads?
Nothing at Meta if you use a Purple-managed Meta ad account. Agencies and enterprise groups can bring their own account instead. The website an ad links to must be verified by the venue. Campaigns start from templates, and the builder uses your brand kit, brand voice and Engage offers.
- Purple-managed Meta ad accounts, with no Meta setup
- Agencies and enterprise can bring their own ad account
- The website an ad links to must be verified by the venue
- Templates: win back lapsed guests, fill quiet times, reach new locals, promote an event or offer
- A single-image ad builder using your brand kit, AI ad copy in your brand voice, and Engage offers attached to an ad
What does Engage Ads cost?
Media at cost plus a 15% management fee, shown as separate lines. Review both alongside the audience and dates before you approve a campaign budget.

Questions
How do I get started with Engage Ads?
Connect your customer data, choose an audience with advertising consent and set up your ad account. Review the campaign, costs and budget before you approve it.
Which advertising channels can I use?
Meta, Google Ads (Performance Max and Search), TikTok and StackAdapt for display, streaming TV and digital billboards.
Is the management fee hidden in the media cost?
No. Media runs at cost plus a 15% management fee, and the two appear as separate lines.
Can the AI agent run ads on its own?
Your agent can prepare ads and run approved campaigns within your budget. You authorize the spend. Autopilot cannot grant itself a larger budget.
Why show Meta's figures separately?
Meta reports its own results. Engage Ads show them separately, so the extra visits you see come from the comparison with guests who were held back, not from Meta's own attribution.
Connect your ads to your wider marketing
Use the same customer data for campaigns, offers and ads. Start with 500 Actions a month and unlimited contacts. Ad spend and management fees are separate.
