Social
Social posts on the calendar your campaigns already use
Write a post once, see it per network and per venue, and schedule it at each venue's own local time beside your emails and texts. Bluesky connects today, in beta. Facebook and Instagram are built and connect once Meta approves Purple's app.
Which networks can I post to today?
Bluesky, in beta: each venue connects its own handle with an app password. Facebook Pages and Instagram business accounts are built in Engage but wait on Meta approving Purple's app, and Google Business Profile posts wait on Google approving Purple's API access. Until then nothing is sent to those networks. Personal profiles are not supported.
- Bluesky today, in beta: posts of up to 300 characters with up to four pictures
- Facebook Pages and Instagram business accounts, once Meta approves Purple's app
- Google Business Profile posts, once Google approves Purple's API access
- TikTok, LinkedIn, Threads, YouTube Shorts, X and Pinterest are not available
How does scheduling work?
A post holds one version per network and one target for every venue in scope, so two networks across three venues make six targets, each with its own state. You pick a time once and each venue reads it on its own clock, so 18:00 is 18:00 everywhere. Posts sit on one calendar with your emails, texts and WhatsApp campaigns.
- One version per network and one target per venue, each with its own state
- Publish times read on each venue's own clock
- A month or week calendar shared with email, SMS and WhatsApp, filtered by venue, channel or campaign group
- Campaign groups: a brief, an objective, an offer, dates and venues above the single sends, with one roll-up of results
- An hourly check on every post due in the next 24 hours, with an alert that names the fix
- Published once, never twice: a temporary failure retries up to six times, and a post more than 30 minutes late fails as late
How do head office and venues share the work?
Head office writes a template per network with merge fields and brand photos, pushes it to venues and locks what a venue may not change. Each venue gets a draft with its own details filled in. Approval is up to you: none, an account admin or named approvers. An approval is bound to exactly what goes out, so any edit clears it.
- Templates pushed to venues, with the words, link, media, time or offer locked
- Approvers approve, ask for changes or reject, and nobody approves their own post
- Signed approval links for people without a login
- Evergreen queues that post by category on a cadence per venue, each item ending when its offer ends
- Posts for many venues uploaded from one CSV file
- Your never-say list checked on save, schedule, publish and approval
What does the AI write?
Draft with AI writes the caption and hashtags for the Facebook, Instagram and Google versions of a post at once, from your brand voice, your never-say list, the venue's facts and the offer. Checks in code refuse a draft that breaks a rule and give every reason, rather than quietly repairing it. The drafter never sees a contact, and a person still approves the post.
- Captions and hashtags for each Facebook, Instagram and Google version at once
- A draft is refused, with reasons, if it uses a never-say phrase, a fact outside the venue's facts, a price or discount the offer does not carry, or an invented date, number or link
- The drafter never sees a contact, and emails and phone numbers are masked
- The AI team can stage a post for a venue's quiet hours, for a person to approve
Can I see whether a post brought people in?
You see what was traced to it. Each post's link is tracked per network and venue, and a post can carry an offer with a shared code. Redemptions and visits within 14 days are reported as traced to the post, never as caused by it, because an organic post has no held-back group.
- A tracked link per network and venue, with bot clicks left out
- A shared offer code per post, with caps per code and per venue
- Known guests who redeemed the code, or clicked and then visited within 14 days, reported as traced to the post
- Reach, engagement and link clicks per post, network, venue and campaign group, with CSV export; a figure a network does not report is blank, not zero
What arrives when Facebook and Instagram connect?
These are built and wait on Meta approving Purple's app, so none of them is live today. Some also need a further Meta permission or Purple's own legal sign-off before they open.
- Comments, replies, Messenger and Instagram messages and mentions in the inbox, against the right venue
- AI reply drafts that a person approves, under the same safety checks as review replies
- Comment-to-DM: a keyword comment gets one private reply with an offer and a consent question, and only a yes creates a contact
- Guest posts that tag a venue, with a request for the right to reuse a picture
- Comparisons with named rival pages
- Boost a published post into Engage Ads, a pilot Purple sets up with you
Questions
Can I post to Facebook and Instagram from Engage today?
Not yet. The Facebook and Instagram connection is built, but Meta has to approve Purple's app before a venue can connect a Page. Bluesky publishes today, and this page will say when Facebook and Instagram open.
Does Engage post on its own?
Not by default. A person approves each post. Autopilot is earned: a record of approvals, then a bounded playbook an admin approves, with a notice and a hold before each post that a person can stop.
Do I need Purple WiFi?
No. Posts, the calendar and tracked links work without it. Visits traced to a post need visit data from a connected WiFi system, and redemptions need an offer code on the post.
What does a post cost?
Each post uses one credit for each network at each venue it publishes to, so one post to two networks at three venues uses six.
Why not TikTok, LinkedIn or X?
Each needs its own platform approval or paid access that is not in place yet, so none of them is open. When one opens, this page will say so.
