Listings and local pages

One venue profile behind your pages and messages

Keep each venue's hours, special dates, phone, links and description in one profile that a person approves. It fills your emails and posts, sets the facts AI replies may use and publishes a local page per venue with a store locator. Sync to Google and Facebook is built and waits on their approval of Purple.

What goes in a venue profile?

The facts guests ask about: opening hours with up to four ranges a day, dated special hours, phone, website, booking and menu links, a description, categories, attributes and photos. Saving the profile is a person's approval, and every change is logged with who made it.

  • Weekly hours with up to four ranges a day, including past midnight
  • Dated special hours and closures
  • Phone, website, booking and menu links
  • A description, categories, attributes and photos
  • A person's save approves it, and an unreviewed change is never published
  • Every change logged with who made it and which fields

Where is the profile used?

Everywhere a venue fact appears. Emails and posts can use the venue's phone, website, booking link and today's hours, told in the venue's own time zone. AI reply drafts may state only these facts. A field with no value reads blank in an email and stops a post, by name, rather than sending a gap.

  • Merge fields for phone, website, booking link and today's hours
  • Today's hours told in the venue's own time zone, special dates first
  • The facts an AI reply draft may state
  • A missing value stops a post by name instead of sending a gap

What is a local page?

A public page per venue, built from its profile and hosted by Purple: booking, menu, call and website buttons, the address, weekly and special hours, current public offers, verified-visit reviews and photos. Search engines can index it, and it carries LocalBusiness markup and a sitemap. It goes live only once a person has approved the venue's profile.

  • Buttons, address, hours, special hours for the next 60 days and photos
  • Up to five public offers, and only once you have chosen to list offers
  • Up to five verified-visit reviews, where the reviews widget is set up
  • LocalBusiness structured data, a canonical address and a sitemap per account
  • Live only after a person approves the profile, and a renamed venue's old address redirects to the new one
  • No cookie, no analytics script and nothing recorded about visitors

How does the store locator work?

One page lists every published venue, searchable by name or address. A nearest-first button works out distance in the visitor's own browser, so where they are is never sent to Purple. You can switch the locator off and keep the venue pages.

  • Every published venue page, searchable by name or address
  • Nearest first, worked out in the visitor's browser
  • Switch it off and keep the venue pages

Is there a link-in-bio page?

Yes, one per venue for a social profile: booking, menu and website buttons, up to three current offers, the latest posts and up to 20 buttons of your own. Every button is its own tracked link, and a stats panel shows clicks per button per day in the venue's time zone.

  • Booking, menu and website buttons, current offers, latest posts and your own buttons
  • Every button is a tracked short link
  • Clicks per button per day, with bot clicks left out
  • No page-view figure, because the page records nothing about visitors

Does Engage update my Google and Facebook listings?

Not yet. Sending the profile to each venue's Google profile and Facebook Page is built: you preview every field that changes, a daily read-back flags edits made outside Engage, and each listing gets an accuracy score with its reasons. It waits on Google approving Purple's Business Profile API access and Meta approving Purple's app. Apple Maps waits on Apple's partner decision, and Bing and other directories are not offered.

  • Built: send to Google and Facebook after a preview of every field that changes
  • Built: a daily read-back that flags a listing changed outside Engage, to accept or push back
  • Built: an accuracy score per listing, with a reason for each wrong fact
  • Built: a check for duplicate Google listings of the same venue
  • Apple Maps waits on Apple approving Purple as a partner
  • Bing and other directories are not offered

Questions

Do local pages need Purple WiFi?

No. A local page, the store locator and the link-in-bio page are built from the venue profile alone.

Which offers show on a local page?

Only public offers that apply to that venue, are live and have room left, and only once you have chosen to list your offers. An offer for chosen guests never shows.

Can a local page use my own domain?

Not today. Pages are hosted by Purple on an address made from your account's name and the venue's name.

Will Engage correct my Google listing?

Once Google approves Purple's Business Profile API access, yes: Engage can send the approved profile to the venue's Google listing and flag changes made there. Until then, keep the profile as your source and update Google yourself.
