How do you switch from Adentro to Purple Engage?
Switching from Adentro: what changes, step by step.
Moving from Adentro
- There is no ready-made Adentro connector. Bring guests in by CSV import, CSV over SFTP, the public API or Zapier where Adentro can export them.
- Square is one of the tills Engage reads sales from, so a Square venue keeps its till.
- Create your venues in Engage, or connect Purple WiFi, Cisco Spaces, Cisco Meraki or Juniper Mist.
- Import your contacts by CSV. Engage records which channels each contact's consent covers and who attested to it.
- Connect your till, booking system or PMS, so spend, bookings and stays land on the guest record. Visits come from a connected WiFi system.
- Set up your own sending domain for email, and your own Twilio account for SMS and WhatsApp.
- Rebuild your automations as journeys by hand. Campaigns your AI team stages hold back 5% of guests, so your first one can be measured against a held-back group.
Questions
Is Adentro the same company as Zenreach?
Yes. Adentro's own company page says it was formerly Zenreach, founded in 2012 and headquartered in San Francisco. 2
Is Purple Engage an alternative to Adentro?
For WiFi capture, email, offers and campaign measurement, yes, and Engage adds SMS, WhatsApp and surveys. Adentro is built around paid media and its Walk-Through Rate, and sells sponsorship for malls, venues and stadiums. Engage's paid ad audiences are a pilot. 1
How is Walk-Through Rate different from a held-back group?
As Adentro describes it, Walk-Through Rate is the share of people exposed to your ads who then visited. A held-back group answers a different question: how many more guests came back than would have come anyway. Engage shows that extra share, with a 95% range. 5
