Moving from Stampede

  • Square is one of the seven tills Engage connects to, so a Square venue keeps its till.
  • Engage takes no bookings itself. If you take bookings in ResDiary, Engage reads them from there.
  1. Create your venues in Engage, or connect Purple WiFi, Cisco Spaces, Cisco Meraki or Juniper Mist.
  2. Import your contacts by CSV. Engage records which channels each contact's consent covers.
  3. Connect your till, booking system or PMS, so visits, spend, bookings and stays land on the guest record.
  4. Set up your own sending domain for email, and your own Twilio account for SMS and WhatsApp.
  5. Rebuild your automations as journeys, and measure your first campaign against a held-back group.

Is Purple Engage an alternative to Stampede?

For guest data, email, SMS, journeys, offers and measurement, yes. Stampede also takes table bookings and payments and runs points loyalty. Engage does none of those itself: it reads booking data from ResDiary, and points loyalty is not built. 115

Does Purple Engage work with Square?

Yes. Square is one of the tills Engage connects to. Till spend lands on the guest record, and Engage offers are redeemed by reading them back from Square sales.

Does Purple Engage need Purple WiFi?
